How to use this page
Questions are grouped into eight sections below: getting started, accounts & verification, deposits, withdrawals, trading & the terminal, platform & technical, security & privacy and fees. Use your browser’s find function (Ctrl+F or ⌘F) to search for a keyword such as “USDT”, “margin”, “TRC-20”, “KYC” or “swap”.
Where an answer touches something legally significant, it links to the document that governs it. The Terms & Conditions, the Privacy Policy or the Risk Disclosure. Those documents take precedence over anything summarised here.
Section 1
Getting started
What is NOVEDOX?
NOVEDOX is a multi-asset trading platform delivered through a web-based terminal. You can follow live forex and cryptocurrency prices, chart them, and open and manage positions from any modern browser. There is nothing to download or install.
Every registered user gets a practice account funded with $10,000 in simulated balance, plus the option of a live account funded with cryptocurrency. A full account of what exists today and what is still in development is on our about page.
How do I open an account?
Go to the registration page, enter your name, email address and a password, and confirm your email with the one-time code we send you. That is the whole process for a demo account, it takes about a minute.
To trade live you additionally complete identity verification and fund the account. See section 2 for what verification involves.
Does the demo account cost anything, and does it expire?
No and no. The demo account is free, opens with $10,000 in simulated balance, and does not expire. It uses the same live price feed as the live environment, so the prices you see are real even though the money is not.
Demo funds have no monetary value and cannot be withdrawn or converted. That is stated in section 3 of the Terms & Conditions.
Who can open an account?
You must be at least 18 and legally able to enter into a binding agreement. You are responsible for making sure that using the platform is lawful where you live, leveraged trading is restricted or prohibited in some jurisdictions, and it is not always obvious from outside.
We may decline or close an account where we cannot verify identity, where sanctions screening flags a match, or where local law prevents us offering the service.
I have never traded before. Where should I start?
Start on the demo and stay there longer than you want to. The single most expensive mistake new traders make is funding a live account before they understand margin and close-out mechanics, concepts that cost nothing to learn on simulated money and a great deal to learn on real money.
Read the Risk Disclosure properly, then work through the education library. Best times to trade and pairs to trade are good orientation for choosing what to watch.
What markets can I trade?
The terminal streams live prices across foreign exchange and cryptocurrency, including the major currency pairs, gold, and the large-cap digital assets. The live instrument list in the terminal is authoritative it reflects exactly what is tradable at that moment, which a marketing page cannot.
Open a demo account to browse the full instrument list without committing anything.
Section 2
Accounts & verification
What is the difference between a demo and a live account?
A demo account trades simulated balance against live prices. A live account trades real money that you have deposited. The interface is the same; the consequences are not.
Demo results systematically flatter live results, because a demo cannot reproduce slippage under stress, the psychology of watching real capital move, or the discipline required to close a losing position. Treat a profitable demo record as evidence that you understand the mechanics, not as a forecast of live returns.
Why do I have to verify my identity?
Identity verification (KYC) is how a financial platform confirms that an account belongs to a real, identifiable person. It is a legal requirement under anti-money-laundering rules, and it is also the practical defence against someone opening an account in your name or taking over the one you have.
Our full approach to KYC and AML is described on the compliance page.
What does identity verification involve?
Verification runs through Didit, our verification partner. You photograph a valid government-issued identity document, passport, national identity card or driving licence, and then take a short liveness selfie which is matched against the document photograph.
The check is usually automated and returns a result quickly. Some cases go to manual review, which takes longer but is not a sign that anything is wrong.
My verification was rejected. What now?
Most rejections are image quality rather than anything about you. Before retrying: use daylight or bright even light, put the document flat on a plain surface, keep all four corners inside the frame, remove any case or plastic sleeve causing glare, and check the document has not expired.
If a second attempt fails, raise it through the Support Center in your account. Do not email photographs of identity documents to a general inbox.
Can I have more than one account?
No. One account per person, as set out in section 2 of the Terms & Conditions. Multiple accounts, shared accounts and accounts opened on someone else’s behalf are prohibited and may be closed.
How do I change my email address or password?
Passwords can be changed from your account settings, or reset from the login page using the email address on file. A reset issues a new credential. We never send you your existing password, because we do not store it in a readable form.
Changing the registered email address requires additional verification, because an email change is the first move in almost every account takeover. Contact us through the Support Center and we will explain the steps.
I did not receive my email verification code
Check spam and promotions folders first, and add support@novedox.com to your contacts. Codes expire, so request a fresh one rather than using an older email. Corporate mail filters are a common culprit, a personal address often works where a work address does not.
How do I close my account?
Contact us through the Support Center or at support@novedox.com and ask us to close it. Any balance eligible for withdrawal is returned subject to the withdrawal terms in section 6 of the Terms & Conditions.
We retain certain records after closure where anti-money-laundering law requires it. That retention is explained in the Privacy Policy.
Section 3
Deposits
How do I fund a live account?
Live accounts are funded with cryptocurrency, USDT over the TRC-20, BEP-20 or ERC-20 networks. Deposits are processed through our payment partner NOWPayments, which generates a deposit address for your account and monitors the chain for your transaction.
Open the deposit page in your account, choose the network, and send to the address shown. Your balance credits once the network confirms.
Which networks are supported, and which should I use?
TRC-20 (Tron), BEP-20 (BNB Smart Chain) and ERC-20 (Ethereum). All three carry the same USDT; they differ in fee and speed.
- TRC-20, typically the cheapest and fastest; the default choice for most deposits.
- BEP-20, low fees, good if your exchange withdraws on BNB Smart Chain.
- ERC-20, widely supported but network fees can be high when Ethereum is congested.
Whichever you choose, it must match the network selected on the deposit page. Sending on a different network than the address was generated for is the most common way people lose a deposit.
How long does a deposit take to arrive?
It depends on the blockchain, not on us. TRC-20 and BEP-20 usually confirm within a few minutes. ERC-20 is slower and can take considerably longer when Ethereum is busy or if you set a low gas fee.
You can track your own transaction on a public block explorer using its transaction hash. If the chain shows it confirmed and it has not credited within about an hour, contact us with the hash.
I sent the wrong asset, or used the wrong network. Can it be recovered?
Usually not. Blockchain transfers are irreversible and a deposit address is only monitored for the asset and network it was generated for. Sending an unsupported token, or the right token on the wrong chain, may result in permanent loss that we cannot recover. This is stated in section 5 of the Terms & Conditions.
Always confirm the network on both sides, ours and the exchange or wallet you are sending from before you press send. Sending a small test amount first is a habit worth having.
Is there a minimum deposit?
Yes. The applicable minimum is shown on the deposit page for the network you select, because it varies with network costs. Sending less than the displayed minimum may mean the amount cannot be credited.
Does NOVEDOX charge a deposit fee?
Any charge applying to your deposit is shown on the deposit page before you send. Separately, the blockchain itself charges a network fee, and the exchange or wallet you send from may charge its own withdrawal fee neither of those is ours and neither goes to us.
Can I deposit by bank transfer or card?
Not currently. Cryptocurrency is the funding method available today. If that changes we will announce it on the platform and update this page. We do not list payment methods we cannot actually process.
Can somebody else deposit into my account?
No. Third-party funding is not permitted. Deposits must come from a wallet or exchange account belonging to you, accepting funds from someone else would defeat the entire purpose of identity verification and is a standard anti-money-laundering prohibition.
Section 4
Withdrawals
Can I withdraw my funds?
Withdrawal functionality is being rolled out and is not live for all accounts yet. When it is enabled for your account it will appear in your account area, and it will require completed identity verification plus the standard security checks.
The most useful thing you can do in the meantime is finish identity verification, so there is nothing outstanding when it opens. If you need to discuss funds in your account before then, contact us through the Support Center.
Why does withdrawal require verification?
Because a withdrawal is the point at which value leaves the platform, and it is therefore the point every account-takeover attempt is aiming at. Requiring verified identity before funds can move is what stops someone who has compromised your password from also emptying your balance.
It is also a direct anti-money-laundering obligation: we must know who is receiving funds.
Can I withdraw demo funds?
No. Demo balances are simulated, have no monetary value, and cannot be withdrawn, transferred or converted under any circumstances. A profitable demo account represents practice, not money.
Will I be able to withdraw to any wallet address?
Withdrawals will be made to a wallet you nominate and that we have been able to associate with you. As with deposits, the address and network must match exactly, a crypto transfer to a wrong or incompatible address is irreversible and unrecoverable.
The exact procedure and any limits will be published on the platform at the point the feature is enabled for your account.
Can a withdrawal be delayed or declined?
Yes, in defined circumstances: incomplete verification, a security or fraud-prevention check, or a legal compliance requirement. Section 6 of the Terms & Conditions governs this, and we will tell you the reason wherever the law permits us to.
If you believe a decision was wrong, the complaints procedure sets out how to escalate it.
Section 5
Trading & the terminal
What order types can I place?
Market orders execute immediately at the best available price. Pending orders execute when the market reaches a level you specify. Every position can carry a stop-loss and a take-profit, which you can add when opening or adjust afterwards, and positions can be closed partially rather than all at once.
What is leverage, and how does it affect me?
Leverage lets you control a position larger than your deposited capital. It multiplies gains and losses symmetrically. At 1:100, a 1% move against you erases roughly the entire margin committed to that position.
It is the single most common reason retail traders lose money quickly. Read section 2 of the Risk Disclosure before trading with it.
What is margin, and what happens at margin close-out?
Margin is the portion of your balance reserved to hold an open position. Your margin level is equity measured against required margin. As losses accumulate, equity falls and the margin level drops.
If it falls below the close-out threshold, positions may be closed automatically to prevent further loss without prior warning and possibly at a worse price than you would have chosen. This is a protective mechanism, not a penalty, but it is not a guarantee that you cannot lose more than expected in fast markets.
What is a spread, and why does it change?
The spread is the difference between the buy and sell price. The cost embedded in entering a trade. A position starts marginally negative by exactly that amount.
Spreads widen when liquidity thins: around major news, at session rollovers, in the first minutes after a weekend open, and during volatility spikes. A widened spread can trigger a stop-loss that the mid-price never reached. The live spread is always shown in the terminal.
What is slippage?
Slippage is the difference between the price you saw and the price you got. In a fast-moving market the price can change between your click and execution. It can work in your favour or against you, and it is more pronounced around scheduled economic releases.
A stop-loss limits your intended exit level, not your guaranteed exit price. If the market gaps through your stop, it is filled at the next available price.
What are swap or overnight charges?
Holding a leveraged position past the daily rollover incurs a financing adjustment reflecting the interest differential between the two currencies or assets. It can be a debit or a credit depending on the instrument and direction.
These accumulate quietly and can turn a marginally profitable long-held position into a losing one. The applicable rates are disclosed per instrument in the terminal.
When are the markets open?
Foreign exchange trades continuously from the Sunday evening open to the Friday evening close, and is shut at weekends. Cryptocurrency trades 24 hours a day, every day, including when you are asleep and cannot respond to a move.
Liquidity varies enormously across the day. Best times to trade covers the session overlaps in detail.
Where can I see my trade history?
The terminal keeps a complete ledger of open positions and closed trades, with entry and exit prices, size, and realised profit or loss. It is the authoritative record of your activity on the platform.
Does NOVEDOX give trading advice or signals?
No. Nothing on the platform or this website is investment advice, a personal recommendation or a solicitation to trade. Market commentary and educational material are general information only and take no account of your circumstances, objectives or risk tolerance.
If you are unsure whether trading is appropriate for you, seek independent professional advice.
Is copy trading available?
Not yet, copy trading is in development and is not available today. See /copy-trading for its status. We will not enable it until the performance reporting behind it is transparent enough that following a strategy is an informed decision.
Section 6
Platform & technical
Do I need to download anything?
No. The NOVEDOX web terminal runs entirely in the browser on desktop, tablet and phone. There is no installer, no version to keep updated, and no difference between what you are running and what we last shipped.
Is MetaTrader 5 or cTrader available?
Is there a mobile app?
Native iOS and Android apps are planned but not released. In the meantime the web terminal works in a mobile browser. The layout adapts, and you can add it to your home screen for quick access. See /app.
Is there a trading API?
Not currently. A programmatic market-data and order API is on the roadmap; see /api. Automated access outside the interfaces we provide is not permitted while it is unavailable, under section 9 of the Terms & Conditions.
Which browsers are supported?
Current versions of Chrome, Edge, Firefox and Safari on desktop, and Chrome and Safari on mobile. Keep your browser updated, an outdated browser is both a performance problem and a security one.
If charts render oddly or prices appear frozen, a hard refresh usually resolves it; a stubborn issue is almost always an aggressive ad-blocker or privacy extension interfering with the price stream.
Prices look frozen or my connection dropped mid-trade
The terminal reconnects and reconciles state rather than continuing to display a stale price. If a quote stops moving, refresh, and check your open positions before assuming what did or did not execute.
Internet access, hardware and third-party infrastructure are outside our control, and a connection failure at the wrong moment can prevent you closing a position. Section 11 of the Risk Disclosure covers technology risk in detail.
Is the platform ever unavailable?
We aim for continuous availability but do not guarantee it. Maintenance, security work, upstream data-feed issues and events outside our reasonable control can interrupt service, as set out in section 10 of the Terms & Conditions. Planned maintenance is scheduled outside peak market hours wherever possible.
Section 7
Security & privacy
Is two-factor authentication available?
Not yet, authenticator-app 2FA is in development. Today, account security rests on your password and on email one-time codes used at verification points.
Until 2FA ships, use a long unique password stored in a password manager, and secure the email account attached to your NOVEDOX profile with its own two-factor authentication. That email is currently the strongest lever anyone would have over your account.
How is my password stored?
As a salted hash. Nobody at NOVEDOX can read your password, and a reset issues a new credential rather than revealing the old one. If any service ever emails you your existing password in plain text, that service is storing it insecurely.
How are my client funds held?
Money you deposit is recorded and held separately from the funds NOVEDOX uses to run its own business. Operating expenses are never met from client balances. Our segregation policy is set out on the compliance page.
What happens to my identity documents?
They are submitted into Didit’s dedicated verification environment rather than being emailed around or stored casually. We receive the verification outcome and the data needed to meet our obligations. The Privacy Policy sets out what is retained and for how long.
Anti-money-laundering law requires us to keep certain records for a defined period even after an account closes.
Will NOVEDOX ever ask for my password or a one-time code?
Never. Not by email, not by phone, not in chat. Anyone asking is attempting to compromise your account, regardless of how convincingly they present themselves or how urgent they make it sound.
The same applies to wallet seed phrases and private keys, no legitimate party ever needs them. If you receive such a request, do not engage; report it to support@novedox.com.
How do I know an email is genuinely from NOVEDOX?
Genuine email comes from an @novedox.com address. We will not ask you to send funds to a new address by email, we will not pressure you with a deadline, and we will not link you to a login page from an unsolicited message. When in doubt, ignore the email and log in by typing the address yourself.
What data do you collect and who do you share it with?
Account and verification data, trading activity, and technical data needed to run and secure the service. It is shared with the processors that make the platform work, identity verification and payment processing, and with authorities where the law requires. It is not sold.
The full detail, including your rights over your data, is in the Privacy Policy.
Section 8
Fees
What does it cost to trade on NOVEDOX?
The costs that apply to a position are the spread, any commission stated for the instrument, and swap charges if you hold it past the daily rollover. All applicable figures are displayed in the terminal at the point of use. That display is authoritative, because rates change with market conditions.
We deliberately do not headline a “from” spread on this website that nobody would encounter in practice.
Is there an account opening or maintenance fee?
No. Opening an account is free and the demo account costs nothing to run. Any charge that applies to your account is shown in the platform before it is incurred. We do not invent retrospective “platform” or “administration” charges.
Are there inactivity fees?
Any fee that applies to your account is disclosed on the platform at the point of use, and section 7 of the Terms & Conditions governs how fees are set and changed. If we introduce a charge, it appears there before it applies to you, not as a line on a statement afterwards.
Are fees refunded if I close a position quickly?
No. Fees charged when a position is opened are not refunded when it closes, as stated in section 7 of the Terms & Conditions. A position opened and closed immediately still costs the spread.
Am I responsible for tax on my trading?
Yes. The tax treatment of trading profits depends entirely on where you live and on your personal circumstances, and it changes. NOVEDOX does not provide tax advice and does not withhold or report tax on your behalf except where a law specifically requires it.
Keep your own records and consult a qualified tax adviser in your jurisdiction. See section 15 of the Risk Disclosure.
Do currency conversions cost me anything?
Where an instrument is denominated in a currency other than your account currency, the result is converted, and the applicable rate is applied at that point. Exchange-rate movement between opening and closing a position affects your realised result independently of whether the trade itself was correct.
