Careers

Build financial infrastructure that people can actually trust.

We are a small, remote-first team shipping frequently and carefully. If you want scope, ownership and work that matters when it is wrong, we would like to hear from you.

Who we are

An early-stage team, described honestly

NOVEDOX is early. That means real scope and real ownership. You will not spend six months waiting for permission to change something. It also means ambiguity, shifting priorities, and occasionally doing work outside your job title because it needs doing and you are the person nearest to it.

We think that is a good trade for the right person and a bad one for others, so we would rather say it in the first paragraph than in month three. If you need a fully-formed process to operate inside, this is not the right moment to join us. If you would rather help build that process, it very much is.

The product is a trading platform, which raises the stakes on everything. A dropped price tick is not a cosmetic defect. A mishandled identity document is not a minor incident. We hire people who feel the weight of that without being paralysed by it.

What we care about

  • Correctness over speed, when money is involved. Ship fast on the marketing site. Ship carefully on the order path.
  • Saying the true thing. We do not advertise features we have not built. We expect the same candour internally, about estimates, about mistakes, about what you do not know.
  • Written thinking. A short document beats a long meeting. Decisions get written down so the reasoning survives the person who made them.
  • Users who are risking their own money. Every design decision is judged against whether it leaves a trader better informed or more confused.

Open roles

Where we are hiring

Roles are described by the work rather than by a seniority label. We scope the level to the person. Apply to careers@novedox.com with the role in the subject line, a short note on why this problem interests you, and whatever best evidences your work.

Engineering Remote

Frontend Engineer

Own the surface traders actually touch: the terminal, the charts, the order ticket. Performance here is a product feature, a chart that stutters during a volatility spike is a chart nobody trusts.

What you would do

  • Build and refine the browser trading terminal, charting, order entry, position management.
  • Keep a continuous streaming price feed rendering smoothly on modest hardware and slow connections.
  • Make the mobile browser experience genuinely usable, not a shrunken desktop layout.
  • Hold the line on accessibility, keyboard operation and reduced-motion behaviour.

You probably have

Strong JavaScript and CSS fundamentals, real experience with real-time or data-dense interfaces, and opinions about rendering performance you can defend with a profiler.

Engineering Remote

Backend Engineer

Own the systems where correctness is not negotiable: accounts, balances, order handling, the price pipeline and the integrations with our verification and payment partners.

What you would do

  • Design and operate the services behind accounts, balances and order lifecycle.
  • Build the market-data pipeline that feeds the terminal, and make it survive upstream failure gracefully.
  • Integrate crypto settlement and identity-verification providers with sound failure handling and reconciliation.
  • Make the system observable enough that we find problems before clients report them.

You probably have

Production experience with a modern backend stack and relational data, a healthy respect for idempotency and money-handling edge cases, and instincts sharpened by having been paged at 3am.

Compliance Remote

Compliance Analyst

Help build a compliance function from the foundations rather than inherit one. This role shapes how NOVEDOX handles onboarding, monitoring and complaints as the platform grows.

What you would do

  • Review escalated identity-verification cases and refine the onboarding rules behind them.
  • Operate and improve sanctions, PEP and adverse-media screening and transaction monitoring.
  • Maintain AML and KYC policy documentation and keep it matched to what the platform actually does.
  • Run the complaints procedure end to end and feed its findings back into the product.

You probably have

Compliance experience in financial services, payments or crypto; the judgement to distinguish real risk from box-ticking; and the willingness to write policy as well as apply it.

Client services Remote

Customer Support Specialist

Be the person clients reach when something matters. Support at a trading platform is not script-reading, it is explaining margin close-out to someone who has just experienced one, accurately and kindly.

What you would do

  • Answer client questions across the Support Center, email and phone with accuracy first.
  • Guide clients through verification, deposits and the terminal without jargon or false reassurance.
  • Triage technical reports into something engineering can reproduce and act on.
  • Turn recurring questions into published answers so the next person never has to ask.

You probably have

Excellent written English, patience under pressure, and either trading knowledge or a demonstrable appetite to learn it properly. Additional languages are genuinely valuable.

Engineering Quantitative Remote

Quantitative Developer

Work on pricing, risk and execution quality. The analytical core that determines whether our pricing is genuinely fair and whether our risk exposure is genuinely understood.

What you would do

  • Build and validate pricing and spread models across forex and crypto instruments.
  • Develop risk monitoring: exposure, margin adequacy and stress behaviour under volatility.
  • Measure execution quality honestly, slippage distributions, fill rates, spread behaviour under stress.
  • Support the analytics behind copy trading and the trading API as those products are built.

You probably have

A quantitative background and strong programming skills, Python and a compiled language between them. Experience with market microstructure, time-series data at scale, or derivative pricing. Above all, the scepticism to distrust a backtest result that looks too good, and the rigour to find out why.

The process

How hiring works here

Four steps, usually completed within two to three weeks. You hear back either way, a silent rejection after you have spent hours on an exercise is disrespectful, and we do not do it.

Step 1

Application review

A person reads what you sent. We look at evidence of work, code, writing, shipped things. More than at formatting. Expect a reply within a week.

Step 2

Intro conversation

Around 30 minutes. What you want, what the role really involves, and compensation discussed openly so neither side wastes the other’s time.

Step 3

Practical exercise

A short, realistic task resembling the actual job, time-boxed and respectful of your time. No whiteboard algorithm theatre.

Step 4

Deep dive & offer

A longer conversation on your exercise and how you think, then a decision. Offers come with the reasoning behind them.

Speculative applications are genuinely welcome

A small team’s published role list always lags what it actually needs. If you are strong at something adjacent to the work above, design, data engineering, security, technical writing, payments, write to us anyway and say what you would want to own.

Send it to careers@novedox.com with “Speculative” in the subject line. Tell us what you have built and what you would like to build next. Two honest paragraphs beat a generic cover letter every time.
